Bookora Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated / Última actualización: June 2, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Bookora, including the Bookora website, booking pages, dashboard, support channels, and related services.
By using Bookora, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Bookora.
1. What Bookora Is
Bookora is booking and scheduling software for service-based businesses. Businesses use Bookora to display services, manage staff and availability, receive bookings, and manage appointment information.
Bookora is not the barbershop, salon, clinic, professional, or other business that provides the service you book. Unless clearly stated otherwise, your appointment and service relationship is with the business, not with Bookora.
2. Business Responsibility
Each business using Bookora is responsible for:
- Services offered, prices, taxes, staff, availability, schedules, and appointment duration.
- Cancellation and rescheduling rules, refunds, no-shows, deposits, and fees.
- Service quality, punctuality, safety, and customer experience.
- Business-owned content, policies, images, descriptions, and links.
3. Bookora Does Not Guarantee Business Services
Bookora does not guarantee the quality, availability, pricing, legality, punctuality, or fulfillment of services provided by businesses using the platform.
4. Customer Bookings
When you make a booking through Bookora, you submit a booking request or appointment directly to the business shown on the booking page. Appointment confirmation rules may vary by business. Some appointments may be instantly confirmed if the selected time is available; others may be reviewed, changed, or managed manually by the business.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and appointment details. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, use the appointment management tools available in Bookora if provided, or contact the business directly.
5. Payments
Bookora does not currently process payments, deposits, tips, refunds, cancellation fees, or no-show fees in the MVP stage. Any payment made for a service is handled directly between the customer and the business outside Bookora, unless Bookora later introduces payment functionality.
Bookora is not responsible for payment disputes, refunds, tips, deposits, taxes, chargebacks, cancellation fees, or no-show fees charged or managed by a business outside Bookora.
6. Accounts
Customers may be able to book as guests. Customer accounts may be offered in the future for booking history, appointment management, and saved details. Business administrators and staff may have accounts to manage appointments, services, availability, and business settings.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify Bookora if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Bookora to:
- Create fake, abusive, fraudulent, or misleading bookings.
- Scrape, copy, crawl, or harvest data without permission.
- Interfere with platform security, availability, or performance.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Send spam or unauthorized communications.
- Use Bookora for illegal services or activity.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization.
8. Enforcement
Bookora may suspend, restrict, or remove access if we believe these Terms are violated or if action is needed to protect the platform, users, businesses, or the public.
9. Business Content
Businesses may configure public content such as service names, prices, descriptions, staff information, schedules, images, branding, business hours, cancellation policies, and custom links.
The business is responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of its content. Bookora may remove or restrict content that appears unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or harmful to the platform or users.
10. Platform Availability
We work to keep Bookora reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Bookora may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, outages, provider issues, security events, or other reasons.
Bookora is not responsible for business losses, missed appointments, lost revenue, reputational harm, or customer disputes caused by outages, incorrect business settings, inaccurate business content, or events outside Bookora's reasonable control.
11. Intellectual Property
Bookora and its software, branding, design, and platform materials are owned by Bookora or its licensors. Businesses retain ownership of their own business content, subject to the rights they grant Bookora to host, display, process, and use that content to provide the platform.
12. Privacy
Bookora's collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Bookora, you understand that personal information may be processed to operate the platform and share booking information with the business you book with.
13. Disclaimers
Bookora is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookora disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
Bookora does not endorse or guarantee any business, service, staff member, price, schedule, result, or customer experience offered through the platform.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, missed appointments, or customer disputes.
Bookora's liability for direct damages, if any, will be limited to the amount paid directly to Bookora for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim. For customers using free booking pages, this amount may be zero.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are intended for Bookora's Costa Rica MVP context and are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, unless another agreement applies or applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Bookora after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact Bookora at legal@usebookora.com or support@usebookora.com. A mailing address is available upon legitimate legal request until a public business address is established.
